"Always Raising the Bar"
Your "Happy Hour" for topical themes and spirited discussions with your musical bartender
Welcome to my podcast Tavernacle Tales, set in my home bar (my husband's "man cave"). I did a lot of research before I picked this name and setting. In the colonial era of the United States, taverns were an important meeting place. These Public drinking spaces have been called "tavern" or "saloon" or, in the United Kingdom, a "pub." And the area where the bartender pours or mixes beverages is normally called "the bar."
I'm a seasoned marketer with a variety of experience in several industries and I enjoyed several years as a part-time radio DJ and TV news anchor while doing a full time job.
According to my research, one of a bartender's most alluring traits is: they listen. They also create a great experience. I'm a listener, humor dispenser and seeker of knowledge. Although I've never been a real bartender, on Tavernacle Tales, my guests and I will have some spirited conversations and some singing. I've got swinging doors, a jukebox and a bar stool. My new home has a flashing neon sign. Stop by and see me any time you want to. And I hope like my guests, you'll enjoy our chats and you'll say "I love this bar!"
Join me virtually for a "Happy Hour" with your favorite libation that may or may not involve spirits. We don't just raise a glass ... we're Always Raising the Bar!
